What are these scopes?
How we address equity
New Visions’ approach is data-informed and human-centered. At New Visions, we believe that stakeholders at every level of the system—from the classroom to district offices—should be included in efforts to achieve equitable outcomes. This inclusive approach to problem solving ensures that a range of perspectives are a part of the professional learning we facilitate. In terms of the content of professional learning, we support stakeholders to understand the current state in their system, envision the ideal state, then identify opportunities for improvement. Achieving more equitable outcomes is a direct result of this focus on improving systems to work for all.
Why is this important?
How we build district capacity
New Visions prioritizes coherence across multiple levels of a system when partnering with Local Educational Agencies in instructional materials implementation. We engage district and school leaders in learning walks, supporting them to make sense of the curriculum, collaborate to create instructional strategic plans, and integrate data systems and improvement science to support leading stakeholders through change. Professional learning plans include opportunities for teachers to visit others’ classrooms, engage in data-focused, job-embedded professional learning, and collaborate to influence system-level decisions. Our high-quality instructional materials implementation support involves durable learning that members of an LEA can carry forward beyond New Visions engagement.
