Our Vision for K-12 Education

Vision for Success

Every student receives meaningful, grade-level instruction every day.

All teachers use high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) and are regularly trained in how to use them effectively.

Every school district invests in HQIM and aligned professional learning because they value their positive impact on students.

Every state education agency incentivizes its school districts to adopt HQIM and HQIM-aligned professional learning services.

Professional learning providers offer content-specific and practical support to educators in using HQIM effectively and are committed to continuous improvement.

Parents and educators partner to ensure students are fully engaged in their learning and HQIM.

Rivet seeks to increase the usage of curriculum-aligned professional learning in two ways:

1. Reviewing and vetting professional learning services to improve the quality of professional learning that teachers and leaders receive.

2. Supporting SEAs and LEAs in creating supportive conditions that accelerate positive change in classrooms across their systems.

Rivet has already had a significant impact across the country, having launched the Professional Learning Partner Guide and supported the Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin, and Delaware Departments of Education on a variety of context-specific projects related to scaling the adoption of high-quality instructional materials and aligned professional learning.
