How we address equity
ConnectED is committed to ending cycles of poverty by positioning students, teachers, and school districts to meet the future. We help develop integrated college and career pathways so that all students, especially those furthest from opportunity, are prepared for lasting success. We firmly believe that robust quantitative reasoning skills fortify these pathways, and we are committed to ensuring universal access to relevant and rigorous math instruction. Our materials foster impactful teacher collaboration, reflection, and experimentation. Our Professional Learning methods cultivate culturally responsive pedagogy, empowering students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds for deeper learning and fostering their agency.
Why is this important?
How we build district capacity
We believe in the power of job-embedded peer learning: adults learning alongside one another within the flow of their everyday work. Our approach to cultivating teacher leadership, as well as the capacity of district and site leaders and coaches, is based on the premise that learning is significantly stimulated and consolidated when it happens as part of the flow of daily/weekly practice. Therefore, we co-design with leaders and coaches:
-Structures for teachers to observe each other using HQIM in their own classrooms
-Processes for facilitating and interpreting classroom observations and collaboratively analyzing student work
-Models for co-planning and co-teaching
