Who we are
Lavinia Group, a division of K12 Coalition, supports school leaders and teachers in improving academic outcomes in literacy and math across grades K-12. Our coalition brings innovative education organizations dedicated to improving student outcomes and advancing equity in schools. We partner with educational systems at all levels by providing support across a wide range of areas such as teacher recruitment and retention, student learning acceleration, leadership development, long-range strategic planning, and school equity audits. As a team of lifelong educators, we are committed to creating scalable and sustainable solutions that endure long beyond our partnership.

How we address equity
Equity is integral to every aspect of our professional learning services at Lavinia Group. We design programs that ensure all educators, regardless of background, access the tools and strategies essential for success. We embed equity by using data-driven approaches to tailor support, close opportunity gaps, and foster inclusive learning environments. Our focus on rigorous teacher development and leadership coaching ensures that equity-driven practices are not only implemented but sustained long-term. How we build district capacity
Lavinia Group builds capacity for HQIM implementation by providing tailored, job-embedded professional development that meets the unique needs of each LEA. Our instructional coaching model includes data-driven intellectual preparation, model lessons, and real-time coaching, ensuring educators are equipped to deliver high-quality, equitable instruction. We collaborate closely with schools to create feedback loops and refine practices continuously, empowering educators to take ownership of HQIM. This hands-on, responsive approach drives sustainable improvements in student outcomes and fosters a culture of ongoing professional growth, ensuring long-lasting success across the LEA.

How we provide curriculum-aligned PL

Workshops

Our workshops align with academic standards, driving rapid growth in teaching and learning. We guide educators through deep content and lesson study, lesson practice, and provide turnkey models of excellent instruction. Continuously refined to meet evolving needs, our sessions ensure impactful, cutting-edge professional development.

Coaching

We provide actionable feedback to enhance instruction, helping schools build capacity at the teacher and leader level. Our coaches offer in-classroom support, aligning feedback with LEA expectations. We help schools establish systems to monitor educator development through the year, ensuring sustained growth with real-time coaching, observations, pre-lesson meetings, and debriefs.

PLCs

We develop teachers on proven structures and protocols for intellectual preparation to ensure high-level lesson delivery. This includes deep understanding of standards, grade-level content, and planning for equitable instruction. Intellectual preparation methods are grounded in evidence-based best practices, applicable to whole-class and small-group instruction.

Consultations

We provide strategic planning for instructional leaders, collaborating to design professional learning that aligns with LEA goals and drives achievement. By collecting data on student learning and teacher growth, we develop tailored action plans that include workshops, coaching, and PLC’s ensuring responsive and effective support for each LEA’s unique needs.
