What are these scopes?
How we address equity
Our services align with the core beliefs of the IM K-12 curriculum, which include that all students can make sense of problems and learn grade level mathematics, as well as all students knowing, using, and enjoying mathematics. We support educators with understanding the overarching design structure of the IM curriculum, which invites all students into new mathematical ideas by letting them connect on prior understandings and experience and play with these ideas before formalizing them. Through the design structures and supports that are provided, we place a focus on supporting teachers with positioning all students as authors of mathematical ideas.
Why is this important?
How we build district capacity
We build capacity to support the implementation of IM K-12 Math through a combination of professional learning and embedded classroom coaching. We provide professional learning sessions around implementing the IM curriculum during the initial launch alongside ongoing classroom coaching. These coaching services include modeling lessons for individuals and groups of teachers, co-teaching lessons with both classroom teachers and coaches, and lesson observations focused on collecting lesson data to use for reflective purposes. In addition, we offer consultation services that support schools with better understanding the stance the authors of the curriculum have around various topics.
Why is this important?
How we provide curriculum-aligned PL

Workshops

We offer workshops designed to support both teachers and school leaders implementing IM K-12 Math. The focus of these workshops include learning about the instructional routines used throughout the curriculum, experiencing problem-based teaching and learning through the lens of IM K-12, and learning about the progression of understanding across units.

Coaching

We offer coaching services to support individuals and teams implementing IM K-12 Math. Coaching services include modeling and co-teaching lessons with individuals or groups of educators, classroom observations using collected data to provide feedback and reflection, and collaborative conversations around utilizing the various structures and resources within the curriculum.

PLCs

Consultations

We consult with schools that have questions regarding how to implement different curriculum components, as well as the rationale behind choices the authors made in the design features. These range from the inclusion of different mathematical representations to the rationale behind the scope and sequence in grade levels and courses.
