How we address equity
STEAM PowerED is committed to fostering inclusivity and diversity in education. We believe that equitable access to high-quality, cross-content literacy initiatives is a fundamental right and a cornerstone for academic success across all content areas. We support school leaders in ensuring that every educator and student has the opportunity to excel. Our commitment to equity support environments and systems where all voices are valued and integrated into learning processes and every learner & educator is uplifted. We aim to cultivate learning environments where diversity is embraced as a vital component of educational excellence.
Why is this important?
How we build district capacity
The STEAM PowerED Learning Model is a big-picture explanation of the way we discover and approach a specific problem of practice. This may be for particular schools, grade levels, or grade bands, across a district. Participants are deeply immersed in using student work to identify the ‘why’ of their obstacles to progress, collaboratively determining the characteristics of every step, and monitoring progress toward student goals. Our goal is to support school leaders in leveraging high-quality instructional materials as a catalyst for academic achievement. We help to create concierge-style equitable, accessible, relevant professional learning opportunities for educators.
