How we address equity
Equity informs all aspects of our approach to designing professional learning. Public Consulting Group provides customized learning solutions that respond to the distinct needs of the communities we serve. Our consultative approach applies the principles of culturally responsive and sustaining education, localized curriculum development, and the Understanding by Design (UbD) model. These research-based frameworks result in strategies that reflect and elevate our clients’ unique stakeholders and contexts. This approach to design allows us to model these equity-focused practices in our curriculum, helping educators transfer that learning to improve outcomes for all students in their own classrooms.
Why is this important?
How we build district capacity
Our multi-pronged approach to supporting curriculum implementation builds the capacity of all stakeholders in an LEA to use HQIM effectively and to sustain efficacy over time. Our professional learning combines foundational knowledge building, hands-on practice, planning support, and ongoing coaching to help educators apply their learning directly to their practice. We also help LEAs craft messaging to families and other key stakeholders, building critical buy-in and support for the curriculum implementation. This comprehensive model ensures that LEAs can transform understanding into effective practices, structures, and support systems that improve outcomes for students.
